How Independent is "Independent Research on SuperClubsPlus ?

Download the report written by Dr Karen Pine and you'll find that SuperClubsPlus occurs prominently twice on the cover. Is this report really unbiased.

So far I can't find a single criticism of the Club's activity which I find strange in an independent report - there's usually something . .

Why?

I've written to the author of the report, Dr. Karen Pine, and received no reply.

Have you considered that there isn't anything bad to say about superclubsplus? It's the only site offering a safe space for young children on the internet. Personally I can only see that as a good thing. Also check out the intuitivemedia.com website and see the LTS independent survey results (100% satisfied teachers) and quote from Stephen Heppell ... seems like they're doing a good thing.

There's no point putting negative comments in an independent report just for the sake of it.

Thanks for taking the time to make a comment

The remark that "there isn't anything bad . . .“ would be naive in the extreme.

This would be stating that there is no area for improvement.

Robert Hart is open to criticism as his statements are highly biased and I believe he manipulates quotes and surveys to sell his concept.

Stephen Heppell does not endorse superclubplus

"I don’t know of anybody else, anywhere in the world who have more experience of building seductive, engaging, delightful online spaces for children’s learning than the team at Intuitive Media.” - Professor Stephen Heppell”

He just states that the provide "seductive, engaging, delightful online spaces"

I would be ready to endorce this statement myself

Can you find the LTS survey?

I've searched their site and only found Robert Harts own plug for his work.

100% satisfied teachers from those using these clubs - why else would they be using them?

I'd like to see the actual survey done by LTS and exactly what questions were asked, and the other results that are not reported.

The fact that academics like Dr Les Galloway and another notable conference speaker writing privately and other teachers are very uneasy about these clubs should be noted.

Robert Hart is doing an excellent PR job in selling his concept but it is largely based on protecting children from a world which they don't need to be frightened of.

Cumbria County Chief Constable only last week said at a meeting I attended that the climate of fear of paedophiles was not based on fact but a fiction in people's minds.
